Afrima Music Summit 2018: Yvonne Chaka Chaka Schools Musicians

South Africa songstress and Song Writer, YVONNE CHAKA Chaka has caution Africa Musicians to adhere to the business side of the God give talents.

According to her, African Musicians must not die poor adding that, there are several opportunities to better the life of Artists.

Speaking at the AFRICA MUSIC BUSINESS SUMMIT at the KIMPISKI HOTEL on Thursday 22nd November, 2018, the world music icon said, music is a business and must be treated as such.

"Let's practice the business side of music, Record Labels must treat musicians well, sufficiently to enable function well of the already God given talents" - She said.

YVONNE CHAKA CHAKA who has been in the music industry for decades, told all the associations which are affiliated to music, GHAMRO and MUSIGA to pay due Royalties to musicians.

 She further ADVISED the upcoming  female artistes not to give themselves to producers and directors in the name of fame, but rather respect their TALENT and work hard towards it, through hard work she believes they will achieve their aim.

The South African singer who doubles as a Teacher and Humanitarian has hits like "UMQOMBOTHI", "LET ME BE FREE", "LET HIM GO", "MAKOTI" among others.
