The host of rainbow radio 87.5 mid-morning show sokoo hemaa, held her maiden breast cancer awareness campaign walk in Accra.

To create awareness about the disease as well as celebrate its survivors was the main reason why she organized the walk.
Some members of the media fraternity including most musicians in Accra Metropolis joined the campaign walk from the Kwame Nkrumah Circle through the streets and ended at the the Kaneshie Market.
The event, which was dubbed: “One Man One Breast,” and was sponsored by the Sokoo Hemaa Foundation.
After the walk, participants were screened to know their breast cancer status.
Sokoo Hemaa addressed the participants after the walk, expressed the need for all especially women to take issues of breast cancer serious because it is the leading cause of deaths among women worldwide and every woman is at risk of developing it.
She told Remedi Entertainment that, since breast cancer cases were predominant in Ghana where some people had wrong myths and misconceptions about it causes and treatment.
“Breast cancer is curable and I will advise all especially women to visit health facilities for regular check-up for early treatment” she revealed .
I urge stakeholders and the media to successfully sustain and widely spread the campaign on breast cancer in the country…. She said
She went on to advise all including children to go for medical screening at early stages in the hospital for early detection of breast cancer to curb its spread in the human body.
